Bio

I started teaching at Sabine Pass ISD in 2000.  I was there two years.  I stayed home a year with Christopher.  Then I taught at Palestine for a year before Ryan was born.  I took 10 years off to stay home with the kids (homeschooling them during part of that time).  I was a long-term sub at the elementary here during the spring of 2014 (I think), and then I started teaching at the middle school, and I've been here ever since.

My roles: 8th grade Language Arts, Middle School Theatre, Middle School One-Act Play, District GT Coordinator, High School Academic UIL Coordinator, Middle School UIL Coordinator, Spelling Bee Coordinator, Middle and High School GT Teacher - I think that's all.
I have always loved literature. I think reading is a great way to learn about the world and how people interact with each other and their environments. Books offer us an opportunity to experience the world differently than we would be able to on our own. Theatre gives us a similar opportunity, but we get to share that experience with others more closely than when we read alone.
