This week, as we wind down for spring break, I want to celebrate a few of the recent achievements of our students, our teachers, and our staff… These are just a few of the accomplishments that reflect the excellence that is Frankston ISD.  

 

 

Ms. Shawna Lynch has done a fantastic job with our theater students.  Several of our Frankston students were honored on Wednesday at the district competition for UIL One Act Play and we want to congratulate them for a job well done.

    Our 5th Grade Students demonstrated a Random Act of Kindness by honoring our custodial staff with a party to say thanks for keeping our school clean!  The students hosting the party were:

    We had several students with over 100 AR points!

    Frankston Middle School took 31 Gifted & Talented kids to the Ross Perot Museum in Dallas last Friday and they had a great time!

     

    The middle school also had super successful track meets in Cayuga & Emory Rains.

     

    The middle school also had two 6th grade students with over 300 AR points this year! Way to Go!

    We want to thank Frankston United Methodist Church for their generosity in donating wobble chairs to our first graders!

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Things got pretty western at the annual Kindergarten Rodeo!

     

     

    And we wrapped up the week with a rodeo parade…

     

     

     

     

    We also want to recognize our high school athletes for some of their outstanding accomplishments!

    Thanks to Coach Holmans… He is working with our golfers this year and they are having solid results!

  • Boys A Team has finished 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in their tournaments

  • Boys B Team finished 4th at a Varsity tournament at Hilltop Lakes

     

    The girls team is practicing hard and improving daily!  We look for some big wins from them soon…

     

    Coach Chitty and staff are rockin in the world of softball…

    • 11-2 record
    • 1-1 in district play
    • Undefeated in the Frankston ISD Tournament
    • Bracket champions in the Lindale tournament

     

    Coach Branch and his team are on a roll with Indian baseball!

    • 7-0 record
    • 1-0 in district play
    • Carlisle Tournament Champions
    • Undefeated in the Frankston ISD Tournament

     

     

    Our track junior and senior high track teams have competed in two meets and the student athletes are getting better every day!

     

    I also want to say thanks to Coach Ellis for his dedication to helping our powerlifting team get better every day… Later today, he will be with the team at the Regional Powerlifting Meet.  Jesse Owen, Coleman Hardin, & Josh Porter will be competing for a chance to go to the state meet.  We wish them luck!

     

    As I do every week, I leave you with some words to think about… and I think it applies to academics, athletics, and many of the other layers of our lives…
